I’m Caitlin, a paediatric speech therapist, owner of Little Blooms Speech Therapy, and mum to a beautiful, energetic little boy. Since graduating from the University of Queensland in 2015, I have worked in both education and private practice settings. In these roles, I have supported children and their families with a wide variety of communication needs.
Becoming a mum in 2024 has been my most joyful and challenging role yet. It has given me a firsthand understanding of what family life really looks like day to day, which enables me to approach families with empathy and practical support. Motherhood has strengthened my patience, creativity, sense of connection, and appreciation for the small milestones that can mean everything to a family.
I am passionate about providing speech therapy that is fun, effective, and child-centred. I believe children thrive when therapy feels warm, engaging, and meaningful, with goals that matter to both the child and their family. By taking a strengths-based approach, I ensure that each child’s therapy journey is practical, empowering, and tailored to support communication in everyday life.
I have experience practicing across many areas of speech pathology; however, I have made a deliberate choice to work within my areas of passion. Focusing exclusively on speech sound disorders and literacy allows me to provide families with highly targeted, evidence-based support and to continually deepen my expertise in these key areas.
